The acetabular reamer, or acetabulum grater head, is disclosed of the type having a driver and a tool held together by a quick-release coupling mechanism.
The reamer has a hollow body defining a domed shape with a rotational axis, an apex aligned with the axis and a hemispherical wall extending from the apex to an equatorial rim spaced 90 degrees from the axis.
The rim has an edge visible to the user that indicates the position of the tool relative to the bone. A first plurality of cutting sites is arrayed along the body and a second plurality of cutting sites is arrayed circumferentially along the edge.
Preferably, the first plurality of cutting sites present raised first teeth having a profile selected from continuous squared, continuous rounded, discontinuous squared and tongued profiles.
Also preferably, the second plurality of cutting sites present raised second teeth selected from continuous squared, continuous rounded, discontinuous squared, tongued and bladed profiles.

El escariador tiene un cuerpo hueco que define una forma abovedada con un eje de rotación, un ápice alineado con el eje y una pared hemisférica que se extiende desde el ápice hasta un borde ecuatorial espaciado 90 grados desde el eje.
El borde tiene un borde visible para el usuario que indica la posición de la herramienta en relación con el hueso. Una primera pluralidad de sitios de corte se agrupa a lo largo del cuerpo y una segunda pluralidad de sitios de corte se agrupa circunferencialmente a lo largo del borde.
Preferiblemente, la primera pluralidad de sitios de corte presentes levanta los primeros dientes que tienen un perfil seleccionado de perfiles cuadrados continuos, redondeados continuos, discontinuos cuadrados y lengüetas.
También preferiblemente, la segunda pluralidad de sitios de corte presentes segundos dientes levantados seleccionados de perfiles cuadrados continuos, redondeados continuos, discontinuos cuadrados, lengüetas y cuchilladas.
